Data throughput on WinXP fluctuates!

If the data throughput over the network connection on WinXP fluctuates, check if the Java Quick Starter service (jqs.exe) is running. If yes, disable it and try again.

1. On your computer, go to "Start" and select "Run". Type in "msconfig" and click OK to open the system configuration utility. 
2. Go to the "Startup" tab and find the "Java Quick Starter" service. Deselect the service in order to prevent it from starting when you turn on your computer. 
3. Restart your computer and you are done.
