FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions - Knowledge Base

Can I use Qpel or GMC for my DivX file?

No, in order for MovieStar/Mvisto to be able and play back the DivX or XviD movie, the Qpel and GMC settings for video encoding should be turned OFF.

If you already encoded the movie and want to check if the setting was turned ON, use a freeware called "GSpot". The version at the time this article was written was v2.5. Start the program and analyze your AVI file. If Qpel and GMC are set to 0, the file will play back OK. If either of them is set to 1, MovieStar/Mvisto will not be able to play back the movie.
